The Kingdom of Eldergate is in turmoil. At dawn, the fearsome dragon Ashfang the Cruel descended upon the royal castle, unleashing fire across the battlements and seizing Princess Elyndra in his talons. He carried her far into the Ironspine Mountains, to his lair beyond the reach of any soldier or scout.

But Ashfang did not take her to devour her. Dragons desire one thing above all else: power. And no treasure in the realm holds greater power than the legendary Ember Heart—a relic of pure flame forged in ancient times. Ashfang has issued a single demand: bring him the Ember Heart, and he will release the princess unharmed.

The king has accepted this desperate bargain, and you—his bravest knight—have been chosen to retrieve the relic. The Ember Heart lies hidden within the ancient Roundkeep Citadel, a circular stronghold built by the First Kings to guard their greatest secret. For centuries, its chambers have remained sealed behind arcane mechanisms and forgotten medieval traps.

When Ashfang attacked the castle, the shock of his fire awakened the Roundkeep’s long-dormant defenses. The citadel has triggered its final safeguard: once entered, it will collapse and seal itself after one hour.

If you fail to retrieve the Ember Heart before the fortress locks, it will be lost for a generation— and the princess will remain in the dragon’s grasp forever.

Your mission is clear: enter the Roundkeep, conquer its ancient trials, claim the Ember Heart, and deliver it to save the princess before the citadel seals shut.
