Beth Ann

General Manager / Room Designer

Beth Ann is an escape enthusiast who has escaped nearly 50 rooms! She thoroughly enjoys playing, but also gets a kick out of being the general manager and game master for you, on occasion, as you try to escape! She was on the design team for Escapetown Peoria’s very own Santa’s Setback (Nov. 2021 – Apr. 2022) and Mystery at Skull Cabin (May. 2022 – ) and looks forward to designing more rooms in the future! She also participates on and off stage in many community theatre productions at both Corn Stock Theatre and Peoria Players Theatre, in her spare time.

Jonah

Assistant Manager / Room Designer

My name is Jonah Metzger and I’ve been a game master since April 2021! I have loved escape rooms since I did the Wild West room at EscapeTown Peoria a few years ago and even got to codesign Mystery at Skull Cabin (May. 2022 – ) with Beth Ann! I have escaped from 25-30 rooms since then! I love The Office, Grey’s Anatomy, and Game of Thrones (and was content with the finale). I have two cats and love them dearly. If you have played Santa’s Setback at ETP, yes, I was the kid you gave the coal to. I hope to one day create my own escape room!

Brian

Kris

Sales Manager / Game Master

Kris McClelland escaped from her first escape room over five years ago while visiting Branson. Her group started the game in the dark handcuffed to a wall. Since then she and her family have completed more games than she can count. She and her husband Gregg have six children, 3 grandchildren, a really cute mini schnauzer and 38 (yes 38) chickens!! They plan to start a farm in the coming years. She is excited to put her communications and theatre degree to use to expand the public knowledge of Escapetown and plan some fun special events!

I’m Tyler and I’ve been at Escapetown since March of 2022. I enjoy all things baseball and someday hope to visit every stadium across the country. My dog (stalking you through the left window) is my pride and joy, and while he looks big, he’s just a big softie. Hope to see you around Escapetown soon!

Hi, I’m Tristan and I have been working at Escape Town Peoria since June of 2023. Besides working here all I really do is wrestle for Dunlap High School and kickbox, which will explain why I’ll probably come to work with a bruise or two, and also why I’m not very good at escape rooms myself, but I love running them and meeting new people that are way smarter than me.

Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly is an escape room?

An escape room is a themed adventure game where players are “locked” in a room and must solve puzzles, decipher clues, and complete challenges within a set time limit (usually 60 minutes) to “escape” the room. Themes can vary widely, from mysteries and thrillers to fantasy and horror scenarios.

How many people can participate in an escape room?

The number of participants can vary depending on the escape room’s design and capacity. Typically, escape rooms accommodate groups of 2 to 8 people, but some rooms may allow larger groups to participate by splitting them into smaller teams or offering multiple identical rooms for simultaneous play.

Is an escape room suitable for everyone?

Escape rooms are generally designed to be inclusive and enjoyable for people of all ages and backgrounds. However, it’s essential to consider factors such as the theme’s level of intensity or scare factor, physical accessibility of the room, and the complexity of puzzles when determining suitability for specific individuals or groups. Some escape room facilities may offer options for customized experiences or difficulty levels to accommodate different preferences and abilities.
